The PhD student from the Sport Research Center, Alejandro Jiménez, have presented, on June 19, the presentation title “ “Healthism and experiences of social, healthcare and self-stigma in higher-weight women” in the 6th Annual Weight Stigma Conference host in the Leeds Beckett University (Leeds, United Kingdom). This work, carried out together with professors Vicente Beltrán, George Jennings and David González-Cutre, aims to deepen the knowledge of how social discourses contribute to the creation and perpetuation of the stigma related to obesity.
