Alba has a BSc in Sport Science from the University of Extremadura, and a MSc. in Adapted Physical Activity (EMMAPA) from the Catholic University of Leuven (Belgium). \u00a0In 2017, she obtained her PhD in Paralympic Classification in athletes high support needs at the Miguel Hernandez University of Elche (UMH), after enjoying a research stay at Queensland University (Brisbane, Australia).<\/span><\/p>\n Alba is currently Associate Professor at UMH, where she teaches Adapted Physical Activity and Sport in two BSc degrees: Sport Science and Occupational Therapy. In addition, she also teaches at the Chair of Employability and Disability TEMPE-APSA from UMH, for students with intellectual disabilities.<\/span><\/p>\n Her main research topics lie on increasing participation with disabilies in Para sports, like in Boccia through the development of classification system based on scientific evidence. In this line, her main research approaches has been focused on the analysis of manual skill and inter-segment coordination of the throwing arm and the trunk stability in players with Cerebral Palsy; ii) promoting the inclusion of people with disability in the university environment through physical and sport activity.
